The Early Years Skills Bootcamp is a flexible training programmes of 8+ weeks that helps adults gain skills demanded by real employers and move quickly into work or progress in their current role.

What you’ll gain
- Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children & Young People.
- Practical, employer-led training – classroom activities, observation writing, professional conduct.
- Guaranteed interview with a genuine Early Years employer.
- Six months of job-search support after the course (CV, interview practice, vacancy matching).
- Career Connections: meet doulas, midwives, social workers, paediatric GPs, baby-massage & early development specialists — explore pathways beyond nursery roles.
Who is it for?
- Career changers, returners, and people new to the sector.
- Those not already in full-time education
- You’re 19+, live in Greater London, and have the right to work in the UK.
- No experience needed — just reliability, compassion, and a genuine interest in helping children thrive.
How it works
- Apply online — quick eligibility check (age, postcode, right to work).
- Friendly conversation — we confirm that it’s right for you and we talk through your support needs.
- 8 weeks of training — 2-3 days a week, in Stratford, East London.
- Complete & interview — you’ll sit a guaranteed interview for a real role once you have completed the full programme
- Ongoing support — we keep working with you for up to 6 months to secure the right job.
Programme Details
- Delivery pattern: approx. 2-3 days/week (live, tutor-led).
- DBS: enhanced DBS is required (we’ll help you apply if you don’t have one).
- Attendance: we expect strong attendance so you’re fully prepared for work.
- Travel Expenses: we know travel costs can add up, so we have a travel reimbursement scheme in place to help learners cover reasonable travel expenses while attending sessions.
- Cost: £0 for eligible learners — fully funded by the GLA.
- Access & support: let us know any learning or access needs; we’ll support you.
